8 electric cars that everyone dreams of

 1. Hyundai Ioniq 5

After the success of previous editions of electric cars, Hyundai has launched an electric car again, this time named the Hyundai Ioniq 5. This car will launch in Indonesia on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Ioniq comes with two types of wheel drive, namely 2WD and AWD. For 2WD, the power ranges at 216 PS with a maximum torque of 350 Nm. As for AWD, the power is 209 PS with a maximum torque of 350 Nm.

Both cars use a 72.6 kWh lithium-ion polymer as the motor. A single charge 2WD has a range of 451 km, while AWD has a range of 430 km.

2. BMW iX dan i4

MW also plans to launch the latest electric cars in 2022, namely the BMW iX and i4. Between these two types, the BMW iX is predicted to be the prima donna, because of its futuristic design and entering the SUV segment which is still in demand in Indonesia.

As for the i4, this car is the next generation of the i3, with powerful features. Airbags for passengers are present on each side of the interior, plus tractor control, stability control and side impact beam. The element of security is properly considered in this i4.

3. Wuling EV

Wuling also did not miss spawning an electric car in 2022, named Wuling EV. Dimensionally, this car is equivalent to the tiny Smart Fortwo. However, despite the tiny condition, the power of this car is quite slick.

Wuling EV produces 20 kW or 27 hp with a maximum torque of 85 Nm. Wulig EV has two Lithium-ion battery options, namely the 'standard range' 9.3 kWh and the 'long range' 13.8 kWh. Wuling EV is also claimed to be able to cover a distance of 120 km.

4. MG 5 EV

Leaked electric car which is also predicted to appear in 2022 is the MG 5 EV. This car has the power of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. The MG 5 EV has been presented at the GIIAS 2021 event. The maximum power of this car is claimed to be 115 kW.

In terms of performance, the MG 5 EV is said to be able to cover a distance of 380 km, with a full battery charge of 50.3 kWh which has been tested. This electric car is also IP67 certified.

5. Mini Cooper SE

Furthermore, the latest electric car that will be present in 2022 is the Mini Cooper SE. This car is equipped with an electric motor that is claimed to be capable of producing 135 kW or 184 horsepower.

Not only that, the Mini Cooper SE also puts forward iconic characteristics known as the sensation of driving a go-kart. This electric car carries a Lithium-ion battery with a cruising range of 235 to 270 km on a single charge.

6. Polestar 2

Next up is the Polestar 2. This electric car actually has specifications similar to the Tesla Model 3. This sleek electric vehicle has a panoramic roof and an Android tablet screen as a controller.

Users can even control heated front seats, car ac, Spotify, and other features from the tablet. Everything is displayed on the tablet with a simple and easy to use interface.

The Polestar 2 has design roots in Volvo, which can be seen in the subtle choices throughout the vehicle. Audio with Polestar 2 is top notch, the system delivers 250 watts through eight speakers.

Polestar 2 lowest variant is equipped with a single motor with a power of 231 hp (172 kW) and only rotates the front wheels. This car has a mileage that is quite far, which reaches 426km.

7. Lucid Air

Because of its love, Lucid Air has successfully won the prestigious title of MotorTrends Car of the Year 2022. This car is a favorite because it has a long range and also great power.

Lucid Air can cover up to 520 miles on a single charge. Maximum power reaches 1,111 hp which is twice as large as the Polestar 2 and Tesla Model 3.

If the look of the Polestar 2 dashboard is amazing, then this Lucid Air takes it to another level. The controller screen uses a 34-inch 5k panel with various functions, including voice commands.

8. Chevrolet Bolt

The Chevrolet Bolt is no less popular than the four electric cars mentioned above. The standard model is equipped with Chevy Safety Assist, which has a reliable braking system.

This technology enables forward pedestrian braking, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, fixed lane assist, distance indicator for the vehicle being followed, and traffic adjustment.

Chevy will install Level 2 charging outlets in users' homes for free if they want to buy or rent a Bolt EV or EUV 2022. This model also connects to the myChevrolet app.

From here the user can calculate when to stop, charge, and so on. Users will also be pampered with a futuristic interior that is equipped with an 8-inch controller screen behind the wheel.

The Chevrolet Bolt has a fairly long range compared to its competitors in its class, reaching 259 miles. The power generated touches 200 hp, making it capable of sprinting at 90.1 miles / hour.
